Blood Scion By: Deborah Falaye ❀❀❀

❥ Thank You #Partner @Coloredpagesblogtours @epicreads @DeborahFalaye

❥ Synopsis: Fifteen-year-old Sloane can incinerate an enemy at will—she is a Scion, a descendant of the ancient Orisha gods. Under the Lucis’ brutal rule, her identity means her death if her powers are discovered. But when she is forcibly conscripted into the Lucis army on her fifteenth birthday, Sloane sees a new opportunity: to overcome the bloody challenges of Lucis training, and destroy them from within.

✨TW: Child Soldiers. War. Violence. Sexual Assault.✨

❥ Review: Let’s call this “The Gilded One’s meets The Hunger Games” those were the first two books I thought about while reading.

This book is a YA high fantasy, and goodness—will it take you on a ride. From beginning to end, Sloane is thrown in the pit of despair. She goes through a lot of heartbreak and even has to make some tough decisions to save herself, and find out the truth. Throughout this journey, Sloane always shows true bravery, and has many “BB” 👀 moments.

❥ With Love, LOP 🙂
