Hello everyone!!! Today is Monday. It’s a new day, and I’ve decided to share something special with you all.
Journaling has always been a struggle for me. When I was younger, I was so happy to have a diary. I would write in it all the time when I was home. The problem is, when I wasn’t home I’d forget all about it. This stressed me out because there was this misconception that you’re supposed to journal everyday. So I felt bad I wasn’t doing that.
So at 31 years old, I’ve decided it’s time to STOP. Last year I started journaling again, and when I found myself getting anxious because I missed a day or two, I reminded myself that it’s okay!
You don’t need to do anything you don’t want to. You can journal everyday. You can journal once a week. Whatever works for you. I know it’s hard watching others be “successful” at things you wish you were, but remember most of the things on the internet is comprised of what others want you to see. You create the journey that works for you. No one is the same.
That brings me to today’s post. I found a Journaling Prompt for 25 days. It’s about Self-Love, and I’ve decided this would be a great way for me to challenge myself. I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself. You will come to love or hate me for it. No in between. Never in between!!!
If you’d like to join me on this journey, please leave a comment. I’m still very new to this blogging thing, so I’ll post the prompt as well.
Just to let everyone know. I have been on a very long journey to find love within myself. I’d like to say I’m very confident now in knowing myself through and through, and being very loving and understanding to all my flaws…and yet. I found great difficulty in finding what exactly to write for this prompt. This is me telling you it’s okay. It may be hard, but self discovery is not meant to be easy. That is an illusion created by the greatest tricksters who have ever lived. I hope you find peace in really owning up to the things you’ve kept hidden in your life. For you, and no one else. Thank you.
